Covering the entire city, this annual update is mandated by the City's Charter.

Future zoning decisions in the city are required to conform to the community's comprehensive development plans.

  • Every parcel of land in Knoxville has been assigned an OYP land-use classification
  • Each classification contains an acceptable range of zones
  • Knoxville-Knox County Planning Commission and the City Council use the OYP to evaluate individual rezoning requests
